First off, let me reassure y'all that I was aware and knowledgeable of the fact that living at 7,000+ feet in Laramie, Wyoming would lead to very, very...very, low temperatures. But one aspect of that less-than-warm lifestyle that I never thought to consider was icy jackets.
So, I'm walking back from the gym, wearing my purple marshmallow coat (not my favorite coat by any means beyond color) and holding my waterbottle in the crook of my arm. At one point, water droplets spill onto my jacket sleeve. I reach without thinking, or looking, to brush the water off but it won't come off. I look down and lo and behold! The water has already frozen on my jacket sleeve!
I knew it was somewhere in the range of -3 degrees and felt like -18, but knowing the temperature and seeing it's immediate affects on you and your workout beverage are two very different things.
At least for me.
